Instructions for Replacing the Pad Sets on your Human Touch Perfect Chair Recliner. The good news is that the main pad sets and headrests are interchangable between the older wood base Human Touch Perfect Chairs and the newer PC-420, PC-600 and PC-610 Perfect Chairs. You just need to make sure you order the smaller Silhouette PC-600 pad sets if you have an older PC-075 or PC-500 Silhoutte Perfect Chair as these pad sets are slightly smaller than all the other pad sets. The armrests are the main issue when trying to upgrade to the new Pad Set Packages. Note that these pad sets will not work with the PC-300, PC-050, PC-8, PC-085, PC-086 or any of the other fully upholstered model Perfect Chairs.

STEP 1: The first step is to determine the model Human Touch Perfect Chair you have. Most of the wood base Perfect Chairs will have the model number on the back wooden crossbar. If you can not locate the model number you can check under the armrest to see how the armrest cap is attached to the chair. If you see the three attached screw holes (circled below) you have a later model Perfect Chair and it will be fairly easy to replace the pad sets in most cases.

Older Perfect Chairs will look like the image below and will require a whole new set of Wood Armrest Blocks so you can attach the newer Armrest Caps to your chair. The new Armrest Blocks are available at the bottom of the Human Touch Pad Set ordering page on our site.

STEP 2: Once you confirm your chair has the later model Armrest Caps you now need to determine if you have the smaller Silhouette Series Perfect Chair (PC-075, PC-500 or PC-600) or the regular size Perfect Chair. The smaller Silhouette Perfect chairs will have a seat width of approximately 21 inches (Seat width between the wood frame). The regular PC-100, PC-6, PC-410, PC-510, PC-420, PC-610 series Human Touch Perfect Chairs will have a seat width of approximately 23 inches (Seat width between the wood frame).

STEP 3: The current model Perfect Chairs in production will be the smaller Silhouette PC-600 and regular size PC-420 Manual and PC-610 Power Perfect Chairs. These new Perfect Chairs have the longer armrests that support your elbows when reclined. The Older Perfect Chairs will have the shorter armrests. See images below.

STEP 4: Now that you know if you have the Smaller Sihouette or Standard Size Perfect Chair you can start to select the pad sets available to you. The current Perfect Chairs in production will be the smaller PC-600 and regular size PC-420 Manual and PC-610 Power Perfect Chairs. These will have many more color options available to you as they are still in production and have Vinyl, Top Grain and Premium Leather pad set package options available on the Human Touch Pad Set ordering page.

The older discontinued Perfect Chairs have limited color options available yet we still have some of the original pad sets to match a lot of the older models. See the Video Below for the pad sets that will fit your chair without having to do any modifications to the armrests.

If you would like to upgrade your Perfect Chair to the newer pad sets with the longer arms and newer options like heat, power lumbar support and memory foam you can do this with a slight modification to the armrest screw mounts (one on each armrest cap). See image below.

As you can see in the image below the older style Armrest Caps have one screw attachment mount for each armrest that is different than the newer Armrest Caps.
